About Us

At Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic, we love what we do—keeping your pet healthy and happy for a long, wonderful life with you and your family.   A family pet improves our lives through human-animal bonding and has a positive impact on our physical health.  To achieve the most out of the relationship with our pets, we must keep them as healthy as possible.  In order to achieve this goal, we focus on your pet’s wellness.

Our wellness approach to healthcare emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life.  The best way we can help you keep your pet healthy is to provide wellness exams, immunizations, internal & external parasite prevention, laboratory testing, dental treatment, nutritional counseling and training guidance.

Complete health care for your pet extends beyond wellness care.  Health problems will inevitably arise despite our efforts to prevent illness and injury. For many problems, there may be several different approaches to care.   We will work with you so that the health care your pet receives from us benefits both the pet and your family.

At Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic, the decision process for diagnosis and treatment is always a team effort between you, your family and your veterinarian.  At all times we will carefully consider your pet’s age and general health and the family’s available time, comfort level with medical care, and financial resources. We will make every effort to gain an understanding of your individual needs and advise you accordingly. We pledge to treat you as we would treat our own families and your pets as we would treat our own pets.

Thank you for choosing Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic as your pet’s health provider.
