Dr. O’Neal became a part of Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic in 1994. He grew up in the south, but has been a Rhode Islander since 1988. He obtained his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Georgia ("GO DAWGS!") Dr. O’Neal is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, Veterinary Study Groups, VHMA, and is a past-president of the Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association. He has a special interest in geriatric medicine. When he is not at work, he loves to hike, is a music lover, and fosters Australian Shepherds in need of homes. Dr. O’Neal lives with his lovely wife, Chris, and their 2 sons. They also have dogs, 2 goats, some bunnies and too many chickens. He has been involved with Boy Scouts with both of his sons.
