Dr. O’Neal joined Dr. Kenfield at Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic in 1994. He grew up in the south, but has been a Rhode Islander for 25 years. He obtained his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Georgia (“GO Dawgs!”) Dr. O’Neal is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, VHMA, and is the past-president of the Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association. He has a special interest in geriatric medicine, and when he is not at work, he loves to hike, is a music lover, and fosters Australian Shepherds in need of homes. Dr. O’Neal lives with his lovely wife, Chris, and their 2 sons, as well as 3 Australian Shepherds (all rescue dogs.) They also have 2 goats, a bunny and too many chickens. He has been involved with Boy Scouts with both of his sons.
